Dreams of Dawn
Come take a musical journey this Spring with Tahoe Symphony Orchestra! Conducted by Artistic Director candidate finalist, Maestro Jason Altieri, Dreams of Dawn, will feature four remarkable works. Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1 balances classical elegance with bold innovation, while Ola Gjeilo’s Dreamweaver, a 2023 choral-orchestral work, draws inspiration from Norwegian folklore. Mozart’s Impresario Overture brings wit and charm, playfully parodying the vanity of singers. The program also includes Susan Spain-Dunk’s Cantilena for Clarinet & Orchestra, a technically brilliant and emotive work that continues to captivate audiences nearly a century after its premiere.
